  For starters when we arrived the entrance for reception is not clearly marked- there are two front doors and when we arrived at 2:30pm both were locked. After ringing a bell an older woman answered and insisted the door at been unlocked. Upon check in she said her debit/credit machine was down and they would have to take an imprint of my card- from the age of the house I would be surprised if they actually owned a debit/credit machine.

  My family and i came from ontario to nova scotia for a family reunion and the reunion was down the street so this was the closest motel. it was $490 for 3 nights...once we checked in, everybody that worked there left! There was no way to get into the office to get ice or towels etc until around dinner time THE NEXT DAY. They come and go as they please.

  We drove around back to the run down looking motels and let ourselves in. The garbage/ recyclable bins outside of our room on the deck were chalked full with pizza boxes and cans. The bathroom stunk, the room was so out dated. The first time the toilet was used it would not stop flushing, we had to stop it manually with a clothes hanger. It had an old tube style tv that was maximum 20". No fridge, limited outlets for charging. All in all it was incredibly dissapointing.

  I got the key to our room (which had a giant wooden heart attached) because they just switched to a "dead bolt" system. I asked about the wifi code.

  This was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. I would not recommend it to anyone.

  Anyway that was my first and last experience at this "inn" do not waste your money by going here. Maybe the rooms inside the inn are nicer ( I wouldn't chance it) but the motel was not worth the price tag.

  We rented 2 rooms in the motel, we walked into our room and there was no AC and no fridge to start. The batteries had been taken out of the smoke alarm and not replaced before we arrived, we pulled out the coffee filter and it was filled to the top with mould! there were also dirty towels from the people before with blood and hair on it STILL HANGING ON THE BACK OF OUR DOOR!!! My family in the other room found a take out container in their microwave with mouldy food from the guests before. Horrible service, as we left them a angry voicemail and never got a reply back. wouldn't have to leave a voicemail if they didn't leave the entire day. 10/10 would NOT recommend

  Upon checking out at 9:10 we pass the reception lady in her frequent spot out back smoking. I go to reception desk to check out and AGAIN it is locked. I knock the door- no answer. So I just call the hotel from my cell and luckily she answers so I have to tell her I need to check out. Since the credit machine is still down I cannot get a copy of my reciept- no it cannot be emailed either. But I did get a copy of the imprint with some pricing details.

  From our room you can't get wifi AT ALL the network does not even come up.

  Good food at the hotel restaurant, nice atmosphere, would love to return in summer and enjoy the scenery.

  I know you get what you pay for but this was WAY LESS- it was a rate of $105 since we had rooms blocked for a wedding we attended in Louisdale. It ended up costing $123/night. I would never stay there again. In hindsight i would have paid $20 more and stayed in Port Hawkesbury and made the extra 6 minute drive to Louisdale versus from travelling from Arichat. At least that would be more modern, clean, and receptive accomodations- and maybe even breakfast!

  She said the best way to get the wifi was in the house (I was in the motel).
